Painting is essential to Mitzi’s art process. The instant and direct nature of painting allows her to transform her throughts and emotions into a physical starting point in which prints and fiber pieces can emerge. Mitzi enjoys using oil paint and heavy body acrylic in combination with found objects such as auto glass, seashells, leaves, and flowers. This approach allows her to combine the physicality of the matrial and the abstract nature of the human mind.
